I applied on 31 july and I didn’t receive anything yet, so what’s gonna happen, the 8 weeks will be started after that time and how long will take for this delays? did they mention anything?
My application was forwarded to Tech Nation on 20th noon. Fingers closed for the next stage. Pls keep me posted on when you heard back from Tech Nation. I will do the same.

I was not endorsed too. I received an email 26 August. I applied on 30th July and it was forwarded on 14 August. They told me that my recommendation letters are written by myself. I was speechless. My recommenders print out and sign instead of digital signature. So, there is no audit trails. Other evidences also comes with the reasons. Due to the nature of proforma, I will not go for appeal.
I’m really sorry about the rejection, and I understand how discouraging it feels. Still, I’d encourage you to submit an appeal. The appeal process, together with the feedback you’ve already received, will give you a clear sense of what to improve if you decide to reapply later.
Your experience with the reference letters will also be helpful for others going through the process. Even though Tech Nation doesn’t mandate electronic signatures in their guidance, they’ve become the standard and are strongly recommended. It helps avoid any concerns about authorship and keeps the letters aligned with current expectations.

The recommendation letter thing is stage, can you share what exactly they have mentioned. I am supposed to hear back soon so a little nervous. My referees also downloaded the letter and signed on it.

I was rejected, promise. Applied August 5, referred to Tech Nation August 18, rejection sent August 27. They rejected across all criteria (MC, OC2, OC4). The most surprising for me was that they rejected a second place award for a hackathon and high renumeration very early in the career for a role in FinTech - all part of MC. The reasons were “A second place team result in a corporate hackathon in 2022 records a competition outcome rather than recognition by the sector” and “remuneration reflects the market price of a role and does not demonstrate such recognition either”. That was very surprising since they list this as the appropriate evidence in their official guide and then reject it.
I’m really sorry about your rejection, it’s genuinely tough, especially when you’ve put in the work and the evidence you submitted is exactly what Tech Nation lists in their guidance. I completely understand why the feedback felt surprising.
One thing I usually tell applicants is that it’s not advisable to rely solely on the listed examples in the Tech Nation guide without checking whether their specific evidence actually meets the deeper standard Tech Nation is looking for. The examples are helpful, but Tech Nation, from my experience look beyond that. The application has become extremely competitive, and to be honest, the way people share guidance online sometimes makes applicants think that simply having the listed evidence type is enough, when in reality, Tech Nation looks very closely at various evidence elements to determine if evidence meet the criteria.
From what they wrote in your feedback, you submitted acceptable evidence, but they didn’t rightly meet the strength or standard required. For example, an award is listed in the guide, but they still assess whether it reflects recognition by the wider sector, not just an internal or corporate event. Same with remuneration, it’s listed, but they still check whether it shows exceptional recognition rather than just market rate. Also, they clearly stated that salary is not enough, your overall application still needs to show sector impact outside paid job.
It doesn’t mean your achievements aren’t valid. It just means Tech Nation didn’t feel they crossed the threshold they’re looking for under MC, especially with how competitive things are now.
Please don’t be discouraged. Many strong applicants get rejected on their first attempt, and with clearer alignment and stronger framing, people often succeed on appeal or reapplication.

Thank you for your reply and words of encouragement! The hackathon wasn’t an internal corporate event though, it was an independent country-wide hackathon, organisers were corporate organisations, with which I have no connection. I provided certified translation of external articles that talked about the hackathon (and articles were published in online Tech journals). So it was incredibly surprising as I don’t know what else you can evidence as recognition by the wider sector in this case.
Same here with me. They rejected all my evidences. I tried to show necessary proof from all the documents I have. Even the recommendation letter are physically signed, and they told me that self-write documents. It was literally hurt.

i applied june 20th got referrend june 30th still no feedback i’ve tried to reach out to them they said they are not replying to chaser emails at the moment anyone have an idea on what i should do

Despite meeting all criteria, I still got rejected, did an appeal and got rejected again although my appeal came with a new proforma. Apparently meeting their criteria means absolutely nothing. You are supposed to crack Tech nation by providing evidence in mystery expectations.
I will not be reapplying because my application was well made, well planned and executed, even tech nation acknowledged it. Used all my evidences of the past 5 years and all were rejected. If I ever plan to redo this then I would need to plan for another 5 years to provide ‘new’ evidences because apparently innovation only counts if you haven’t done it before. What would they be? Probably engineer a seed that can germinate in space, make sure I get into an accelerator and win £10m in funding and have the telegraph publish my work and do Ted talks and run community projects like providing tech equipment to the poor kids in Africa. Then and only then will technation finally deem me worthy of exceptional promise because apparently having under 5 years experience and one product innovation means I’m clearly not a global talent. Till then….
How do you give the guidance and still reject all evidences that meet that criteria? If press recognition, public speaking, multiple awards, product screenshots, cac documents, product models, demos, emails etc doesn’t show MC, what else does? Should I invent cold fusion?
People giving feedback here are quite vague with their feedback. You say Tech nation examples isn’t sufficient, what then is? Mention it exactly, Do they need me to solve world hunger?
I want to know if the application is now a money making scheme for this visa category type or we aren’t just global talents.
