Sorry about the feedback . Will you be reapplying ?

That’s great. If not for anything , to get more context/another perspective about the application.

Meanwhile , looks like they skipped an entire week and jumped to Feb 19 . Has anyone who got referred to Tech Nation during the week Feb 9 - Feb 13 received any feedback ?

@tobiakinlade , have you received feedback yet ?

I’m sorry for not updating.

My application was referred in early February, and I received feedback last week and Not Endorsed

I initially applied last September, and I used their feedback as a strategy to make my application better and to my surprise, the evidence that was accepted last September, even though I did more to make it robust, was not accepted this time.

My work as a Software Engineer at a product-led start-up was commended the last time, but I was dismissed by this assessor.

My OC4, where I was the first author, AI for solving healthcare problems has 25 citations, and one other, where I was a co-author, had 5 citations and in general I presented a research profile with 39 citations. It was considered a low impact for Exceptional Promise.

In my September application, my Research Peer Review evidence was acceptable, and this time I submitted more, having contributed to two International Research Conferences and also as an active peer reviewer for two Springer Nature journals, but it was rejected this time, and classified as a normal activity to the Research community.

Also, my community impact activity that was commendable in the September application was rejected.

I have 4 weeks left on my current visa with little or no hope of visa renewal. When I sort that, then I can think of the way forward with this Global Talent thing.

Even with the Tech Nation criteria baseline, endorsement is kind of assessor-based.

Hi @tobiakinlade , so sorry about your feedback .

This is the crux of the matter, where evidence that has been accepted before is now being rejected . For some talent visas in other countries , your reapplication goes back to the same assessor who is able to evaluate your updated profile more accurately.

Usually , a reapplication should mean that you are either getting feedback about the suitability of new evidence you submitted or getting approved. Outrightly rejecting “already accepted evidence in initial application” is really confusing.

All the best dear!! Try to apply for review while you pursue other things

@tobiakinlade Please take heart. I completely understand how discouraging it feels when evidence that was previously accepted is now being questioned, especially after you’ve strengthened your application. However, it’s important to remember that the endorsement decision isn’t based solely on the evidence itself.

Even when an applicant meets the criteria, TN still evaluates whether the overall narrative, skills, and achievements clearly align with the eligibility requirements and the story the application is telling.

That’s why a reapplication, especially one informed by rejection feedback, needs to be approached strategically. Strengthening the narrative and clarifying ownership of your evidence and the new added evidence should be coherent. For instance, you last application was last year September and you are able to add more peer review evidence, within that short period, it is either the new ones are too close to the new application or were not presented strategically.

“In my September application, my Research Peer Review evidence was acceptable, and this time I submitted more…”

All the best.
