Stage 1 application help and advise

Hello Tech Nation Ambassadors/Aluminis,

I would like to seek some insight from an ambassador who has successfully passed the application process or is in process of it.

Right now, I am collecting my required documents for the Stage 1 application.

I am currently pursuing my master’s from the USA and is about to graduate in June 2021. I had some doubts -

1.) If this is the right time for me to apply for the VISA?
2.) If it is fine for me to apply for the VISA in the UK since I am studying in the USA and is an Indian citizen?

Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

This is over a year ago. I bumped into this question so answering it anyway. I’d guess your situation has changed since then. But sharing my thought process -

1.) If this is the right time for me to apply for the VISA?

Pre/post graduation doesn’t matter. As long as you satisfy the criterion mentioned for GT Talent/Promise you should be fine.

2.) If it is fine for me to apply for the VISA in the UK since I am studying in the USA and is an Indian citizen?

Lot of people apply from outside UK. So should be fine.
