Seeking Advice on UK Global Talent Visa Endorsement as a Business Analyst

Hello everyone,

I’m currently based in the UK on a dependant Visa and working as a Business Analyst. So far, I’ve had the opportunity to work with two different councils on digital transformation projects—one focusing on Highways and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and now another council where I’m in a similar BA role. I can potentially secure reference letters from both councils.

Before moving to the UK, I worked with several product-led companies in my home country and can also get reference letters from the CEO and COO. Additionally, I’m a co-founder of a tech startup that is still active back home, which further demonstrates my tech involvement and entrepreneurial background.

My goal is to apply for the UK Global Talent Visa. However, I’m not sure if my profile as a Business Analyst would satisfy the criteria for endorsement. Has anyone here successfully obtained an endorsement for the Global Talent Visa as a BA or has a similar background?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, challenges, and any tips you can share about presenting a compelling application. Many thanks in advance for your insights!

Hi Olayemi, applying as a BA sounds difficult with the requirements defined on the technation website. Have you gone through the Mandatory Criterias and Optional Criterias on the criteria? https://technation-globaltalentvisa-guide.notion.site/

I think it is not about your role alone. What evidence do you have to meet the criteria? Do you have conference speaking awards, media recognition, evidence of product developed … Your profile as a tech founder may be more relevant. BA for Digital transformation projects may not cut it but Data analyst and business intelligence type role may have impressive evidence of impact.

Thank you @Akash_Joshi @Francisca_Chiedu. I created another post Global Talent Visa – Document Review Request (Business Analyst, UK-based) outlining the evidence I plan to submit as a Business Analyst working with a product-led company.
I’ve ended up submitting the evidence, making corrections as suggested in the post. I’m currently waiting for the outcome of the review from Tech Nation.
