Seeking advice: led firmware development at engineering service company

Dear Community,

I’m seeking for some pieces of advice, I work as a lead firmware engineer at a company that makes IoT products for its customers (from hardware to deployment from scratch). Some products are FDA-approved, some are quite innovative and could make a good case for me. However, revenue comes from engineering services. This actually has been discussed previously several times before and seems I’m not eligible with such experience.

Nevertheless. I would like to ask you questions and make sure there are no other ways for me to use this contribution in my case.

  1. Is there a way to convince TN that my work was a big contribution to digital tech sector using LoRs from customers who directly interacted with me and saw my individual contribution to the project, although I worked as an employee of engineering services providing company?
  2. what if I get evidence from customers directly w/o explicitly mentioning my employment status, would it be a violation of something?

Warm regards,

Hey Ramil, unfortunately the GTV committee does a broad-strokes search for the company. If at all anywhere - within the company’s website or their LinkedIn - it’s showcased that they have a history of providing engineering services - that evidence is generally rejected.

I’ve tried to help applicants appeal this in the past, but this is one thing the committee is very strict on.
