Hi @tonyshek

  • ensure that the first two MCs are supported by third party evidences and not just self authorship.
  • you can apply only for two optional criterias and not 3
  • In OC1 evidences you need to specifically demonstrate your contribution to the innovation, show what was innovative and impact of it all supported by backing evidences beyond self claims
  • OC2 is about advancement of field. If the outcome has been you being offered credits it may not meet the criteria strongly. You can move these two to MC perhaps in one document.
  • In OC3, just launching your work on Fiverr doesn’t show impact. Per the guidelines you need to show impact in quantified metrics across all evidences.

Thanks Pahuja… I will definitely incorporate your valuable suggestions.

Hi @tonyshek

adding onto the advice, here’s what I’d suggest:

  • Letters can support leadership claims, but need external proof of impact. Assess contents of each letter by: leadership, innovation, contributions to the field and in the UK tech sector, quantifiable impact.
  • Use third party evidence & avoid self-authored ones.
  • Attribution is key - how do each of these evidence pieces show legitimacy to your claims.
  • Try not to repeat the same kind of evidence under a given criterion.

Lets say I worked with start up company on a project and he provided me reference letter, all written by him mentioning innovation and its impact on its business. Can we say its third party validation?

This is okay for a letter. However, you need to compliment it with other sources and records that add to the authenticity of your claim. For example, proofs of the impact on the business from an external domain.

You’ve put together a solid case for the endorsement application. Your recommendation letters look promising, though you might want to ensure each one highlights specific achievements with measurable outcomes. For your evidence sections, I’d suggest combining the Microsoft and AWS recognitions into one stronger piece rather than listing them separately.

Your company founding in July 2024 is quite recent - try to emphasize concrete progress on your MVP rather than just the founding itself. For your high compensation evidence, make sure to include actual documentation like payslips or contracts.

Watch out for repetition in your evidence. You’ve listed similar OC1 innovations with different startups - make sure each piece tells a distinct story. The same goes for your OC3 entries about cloud infrastructure work. Choose your strongest examples and develop those fully instead of spreading similar achievements across multiple entries.

Thank you so much Akash.

I have more than 10 years of experience including 2 years in UK, so shall I target Exceptional Talent or Exceptional Promise? What if I apply for Talent and if Tech Nation I am not suitable for Talent will they automatically consider me for the Promise or they straight away reject ?

They usually do the opposite - if you apply for promise and they think you are more suited to talent, they will assess you for talent.

Have not seen the opposite happening.

They look at years of experience in tech to decide promise versus talent. If you apply for promise despite having > 5 years of experience then you need to also mention why. Basis that they will decide which to assess for.
