CONCERNED QUESTIONS:

  1. In OC 1, I have three (3) pieces of evidence and one (1) support letter, making it a total of four (4) pieces of evidence. What are your thoughts on this?

  2. Can the LoR from the Founder of Company A (Current Employer) be signed and stamped with the company’s official stamp on letterhead, while the other two LoRs are signed via DocuSign with the audit trail document attached?

  3. Would it be advisable to have three (3) letters from the Founder of my Current Company (one (1) LoR and two support letters)?

I’d appreciate your review at your earliest convenience. Thank you! @pahuja @Francisca_Chiedu @Maya @Akash_Joshi @ellagna

Hi @Temitope.K

  • would recommend moving all your high salary/financial growth and progression in one doc in one criteria instead of two. High salary is not considered a strong evidence anyway hence better to limit it into one.
  • LinkedIn messages/testimonials etc are not considered valid by TN hence the publication is a better option in MC. Does the publication mention your name?
  • Internal recognitions and certifications aren’t considered valid per TN guidelines
  • In OC1, ensure you highlight why was the company and these examples mentioned innovative and how you were significantly leading these innovations. Do the external screenshots mention your name/pictures?

Number of evidences don’t matter, it has to be >=2 per criteria. What matters is how do you validate your self claims, what third party evidences you have, what’s the quality and depth of the letter and how do you meet the criteria.

You cannot have more than one letter from the same person.

@pahuja I really appreciate your valuable feedback! I’ll definitely take it into account.

  • Would it be better to combine high salary, career progression, and financial recognition as one evidence under Mandatory Criteria, or do you think it fits better under OC 3 (Commercial Contribution)?

Salary evidence is considered a weak evidence in any criteria. If your criteria is not met leaving the salary evidence aside, it will not be successful irrespective of where you place it.

  1. Evidence of high salary is ok for MC but I won’t place it as a top evidence. High salary is relative, when benchmarked with other applicants from your field or region, it may not be as high as you think. So high salary in my opinion is often my least when ranking evidence.
  2. What media mention are you referring to, is it from a well established newspaper? Was your name mentioned. Remove the LinkedIn message as it is unreliable not relevant.
  3. Evidence 3 forbe blk is not relevant, it is not even a tech recognition, every tom, dick and harry apply to this and get accepted but within your application, it is needed. Why did you do in the Meta VR research panel? Where you assessing other people’s work? Apple certifications do not meet this criteria.

For innovation, what makes this product innovative, is it a novel product? Is it first of it kind? What exactly is your roles as you seem the claim to have both technical and commercial inputs?

OC3 evidence of salary was removed in the resent update.
In all, I would say your evidence needs more clarity as an assessor would be confused with how you muddle unrelated evidence into a single evidence.

The application looks strong. Having three pieces of evidence plus one support letter for OC1 is acceptable, as applicants can submit up to 10 pieces of evidence total.

For letters of recommendation, using DocuSign with audit trails is perfectly acceptable per Tech Nation’s guidelines. The current employer’s letter can be on letterhead with company stamp. This mixed approach is valid as long as each letter clearly shows its authenticity.

Having multiple letters from the current employer’s founder is fine. The letters serve different purposes - one as a general recommendation and two as specific support letters for evidence criteria. However, ensure each letter focuses on distinct aspects of your contributions to avoid repetition.

Remember to keep each evidence document under 3 A4 pages and include clear summaries. Your evidence appears well-organized with concrete metrics and documentation. The mix of quantitative data (revenue, engagement metrics) and qualitative recognition (awards, media coverage) strengthens your application.

@Francisca_Chiedu Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback, it’s super helpful in restructuring my evidence.

  1. I’ll merge all the high salary evidence into a supporting document under MC and remove the LinkedIn screenshot as you suggested.

  2. The media mentions are from a well-known newspaper and reputable tech blogs that highlighted my name and the innovation I introduced in my company.

  3. As for my role in the AR/VR Research Panel, I was involved in testing new features, evaluating user experiences, and providing insights to help improve Meta’s AR/VR technology. I’ll also remove the Apple Ads certification.

  4. On innovation, while it’s not entirely novel globally, its application in Africa’s fashion e-commerce space is groundbreaking. It positions Company A as an early pioneer in merging fashion with immersive technology in the market.

  5. My role is a tech-commercial one. I led the integration and development of these innovations, while also driving their commercial success. They’ve directly improved sales, reduced returns, and enhanced customer engagement, proving their impact. I’ll also take out the salary evidence since it’s no longer valid.

Thanks again! I really appreciate your time and insights.

@Akash_Joshi I truly appreciate the clarification. Thank you so much!
