Is it okay to have experience in service based companies? or tech nation prefers product based companies experience? Most of my experience was with service based companies, I saw one video on youtube and she mentioned Tech Nation prefers product based company experience profiles rather than Service based.
People who already got endorsed with service based companies experience please help me with this question.
Hi @Durga as per TN official guideline, they do look for experience in profuct-led digital tech companies.
Hi @pahuja I’m applying as a Business Analyst profile, I worked with companies like TCS, Cognizant, NTT Data these are service based companies where I worked for external clients and Wells Fargo is a Product based financial organisation. Those service based companies are big MNCs, with innovation and technology development for the clients. So are these companies okay?
Hello @Maya Thank you for the information.
Hi @hsafra can you explain it further. What does it mean please?
It’s a quote from the guide about what’s meant by product led. And it looks like service work for MNCs is specifically excluded
Single definition of “Digital technology sector” and “product-led”:
The “digital technology sector” or “product-led digital technology companies” are defined as businesses that provide a proprietary digital technical service/product/platform/hardware as their primary revenue source. The creation of software, processing/storage of data, or the creation/application of technical computing hardware is often a central aspect of their business model.
[This excludes general consultancies, outsourcing and technology-related consultancy groups focused on process/service delivery or solutions/systems architecture. Such firms do not meet the guidelines, particularly those primarily serving large corporate or multinational corporate (MNC) customers.
Work at specific agencies may be considered if the agencies are extremely focused on product innovation in a specific industry and are well-recognized for their contributions to that industry.]
@hsafra Thank you so much for the clarification.
