Hello, I need some assistance in choosing the appropriate recommendation letter. I have collected four recommendation letters, and I am having difficulty deciding which one to attach as the third. The options are as follows:
Option A) A recommendation letter from the Head of a university Incubator, who has experience working with my startup during its time in their incubation team.
Option B) A recommendation letter from the Dean of a UK University, whom I worked with during my sabbatical year as the University student union president, can attest to my leadership and progress in 2019.
My other two letters (please also comment):
- A recommendation letter from a senior person manager in the FinTech and RegTech industry. We worked together while I was serving as the head of marketing for that company.
- A recommendation letter from my investor in my startup. They are successful in investing and have a background in operations.
I apologise for tagging you. If it’s not too much trouble, please comment on it?

Is the dean still n your university. A digital technology expert? Professor or Dr if Computing?
He is not in tech. (Geography, Dean of Life Medical Sciences); I’m most likely not going to add it.
And I am probably going to add:
Option A) A recommendation letter from the Head of a university Incubator, who has experience working with my startup during its time in their incubation team.
(please also comment) on my other LoR?
- A recommendation letter from a senior person manager in the FinTech and RegTech industry. We worked together while I was serving as the head of marketing for that company.
- A recommendation letter from my investor in my startup. They are successful in investing and have a background in operations.
Thanks again

In terms of the other two, I would be skeptical about the second one, as the investor has already invested in your startup. I had a similar recommendation letter from my investor, but I included that in OC.
The investor has known my work and has worked together before he chose to invest. I would argue that it showcases my profile well - but I can understand your point.
I have another Digital Product Agency owner (whose clients are fairly large fintechs and startups) whom I have worked with in technical go to market consulting that I could attach as LoR.
What do you think? @moorjaniajay
thanks for the engagement
