I have a Tech Nation endorsement and selected following for my tech nation application:
Sector: Cybersecurity
Specialist skill: Research
For my ILR application, does my proof of income need to show that I’m specifically working in cybersecurity/research, or is employment in another technology-related field acceptable?
I currently work as a University Lecturer in Computing. HR can provide a standard immigration reference letter confirming my job title, employment start date, salary, and duties (teaching computing, curriculum design, and research), but they cannot specifically state that my role is in the “digital technology” field.
Would this be acceptable as proof of income?
I’d also really appreciate hearing from anyone who has successfully obtained ILR through Tech Nation while working in academia/teaching.
