Hi All,

I am applying for exceptional talent promise category under BIZ development. I have prepared the following documents, please help me review my profile to evaluate and appreciate your feedback

Profile

I am a sales enabler and growth hacker, and applying for exceptional talent promise category under BIZ development.

LOR 1: From the CMO of my company (A tech-enabled logistics unicorn), whom I’ve worked with for two years and who knows both me and my technical and commercial abilities better than anyone.

LOR 2: From the Chief Revenue Officer of my company (A tech-enabled logistics unicorn), whom I’ve worked with for two years

LOR 3: From the director and Head of Brand Marketing and Product of my current company

Personal Statement -

Spoke about my last 5 years’ stint in 2 product-driven startups. Both the startups are successful and well established noe and I have played a key role in the growth story by supporting revenue growth and sales enablement. My key focus is around how I helped to seed these startups and smaller companys grow revenue and be successful

Mandatory Criteria

Evidence 1: Remuneration details, bonus and stock options of current company

Evidence 2: A brief intro to my company and my roles, and my key contributions. This also covers 6 series of funding receieved including last being an E series funding which made us unicorn

Evidence 3: Details of leading a project to develop a cloud-based sales enablement platform to support Faster Sales onboarding, Customer education and support revenue growth. This includes snapshots of the products and links to experience the UI

Evidence 4: A letter of recommendation(Same as LOR1) to support evidence 2 and 3

Evidence 5: A letter of recommendation(Same as LOR2) to support evidence 2 and 3

Evidence 6: A letter of recommendation(Same as LOR3) to support evidence 2 and 3

Optional Criteria 1

Evidence 7: Evidence of product(in to end point data encryption) launch in asia pacific

Evidence 8: A reference letter from the managing director (My ex-employer) in support Evidence 7

Optional Criteria 2

Evidence 9: A letter of reference from a Martech startup, whom I have been mentoring for last four years.

Evidence 10: A letter of reference from the program director of my current Data science masters from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. I am responsible for arranging seminars and guest lectures with practicing industry experts

Personal statement
Don’t waste your text space on your past. This only talks about the future. You have 4 required topics to talk about in the future within 1000 words only. Your past experience can be in the CV or evidence.

I think you are too focused on MC. Reduce them to 4 pieces of evidence, and leave 3 for the 2 optional criteria each. Otherwise, shift some of the letters to support your OC.

OC1: You need to explain why your contribution/process/product you worked with are considered innovative. Explain these to the assessor by writing and screenshots.

OC2
-Ensure that your mentorship was a structured programme, and was a senior mentor in the event.
-Arranging the seminar may not be qualified as it does not show the key contribution to the advancement of the sector.
-Please also note that Letters are not supposed to be the main evidence. You need to add stories, and screenshots of emails, reports, and conversations, to show that you contributed as well.

@alexnk - great feedback. I notice the same LOR are used in as reference letter to support evidences, is this ok to do? I am actually planning to do it in the same way.

I don’t think using the exact same letter in the reference will help. It just wastes 1 valuable document space. I suggest you to write details and show screenshots/evidencearound your criteria and how you meet the criteria will be the key to great evidence strategy. While LoR will only support it.

Thanks, that sounds good. I do plan to make the evidences and LoR to support the evidence.
