OC2 Requirement - Recognizing AI Mentoring & Contribution (Voluntary Work)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on my Global Talent Visa application and need clarification on the OC2 requirement. I have been mentoring and contributing to an AI project outside of my regular working hours, purely on a voluntary basis and free of charge. My contributions included guiding the team on designing system architecture, AI algorithms, and testing methodologies. The project received positive recognition from government agencies, and my input played a key role in its success.

Since this was independent of my employer and done voluntarily, would this be considered a strong example for OC2? Also, any advice on how best to present this in my application would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can use it in OC2.

  • Write a summary on the contributions you did
  • Attach all evidences as pasted images/screenshots.
  • Get a reference letter from one of the organisers

Hi @Ravikant Mentorship for OC2 needs to be part of a structured program with selection of mentees. You can position it as example of advising to further the field outside of your immediate job. Please do include a strong reference letter and recognition proofs to support self-claims.
