My appeal Chances (Exceptional promise)

Hi everyone,

I will really appreciate some guidance regarding my recent application under the Exceptional Promise category.

Initially, I applied for the Exceptional Promise category. However, my application was assessed for the Exceptional Talent category due to my combined experience, including a “Monitoring And Evaluation” role listed on my LinkedIn profile. While I understand why this might have happened, I don’t believe this specific role directly translates to data science expertise, which is my core focus.

Unfortunately, my appeal chances seem unclear after reading the assessment feedback. Here’s the link to my application on Google Drive(nvwSFzRGGt5qG8g2xTrx2Mr6kSKkFR.pdf - Google Drive)

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could review it and offer insights.

Specifically, I’d like your advice on:

  • Appeal Strength: Do I have a strong basis for appealing the decision, considering my “Monitoring And Evaluation” experience and focus on data science?
  • Overall Chances: Based on the feedback, what are my chances of a successful appeal?

I understand the feedback regarding my LinkedIn profile and GitHub follower count. While I should have clarified the non-digital nature of the “Monitoring And Evaluation” role and addressed the follower count (I actually have over 200 commits and contributions), I hope these can be rectified.

Thank you in advance for your time and any advice you can offer.

Can you share the feedback received here?
Another thing, not sure it’s safe having your entire application online and public as you’ve done in the Google drive link you shared. Lots of personal information and private things from the companies you worked for.

Other feedback from the document: your personal statement was more like giving an overview of your CV, and little about what impact you will make to the UK and why you are applying and even why you are a leader in the digital technology sector.
Your mandatory criteria had just letters, to name a few.

The assessment feedback will help to know how you can make an appeal to know what the panel has highlighted if you can share
