Letter of recommendation dilemma

Hey guys, i was a senior Quality assurance engineer in my company and my superior was a lead.

I was planning to get one of my LOR to be from the director of quality, as I am not her direct report, but she knows my work and is a significant position holder.

but recently I got promoted to lead QA and now I am her direct report
which brings me to the state of delimma that , she is basically the most senior person in my company who knows about quality.
But now I am her direct report what should I do?

Congrats on your promotion.
Do you think you can get a letter from her manager? It would be better since a) theyโ€™re not your direct manager and b) they probably hold a more prominent title.
