Letter of rec from manager

Hello, I see in the guidelines it says “Evidence of recognition, such as Reference Letters, provided by an immediate colleague, manager, or friend are not sufficient.”

Can I use letters from my manager or immediate colleagues for my 3 letters of rec?

Does the rule only apply to the MC1?

Ideally, you should aim to get them from people with high seniority, influence & credentials.

Nope. It clearly states that it isn’t allowed. I’ve seen applications where that has been cause for rejection.

No LORs are even more imp than reference letters and you need people who are experts in digital tech sector themselves. It’s a big risk to do managers and colleagues for LORs unless they are outstanding tech experts

I thought in the guidelines it is only not allowed for MC but can I use it for one of my 3 letters of rec?

LORs should be from people who are digital tech experts and industry leaders themselves and have known your work/worked with you for atleast 12 months.
