Hi all,
I am looking to making my application for exceptional promise soon enough. I have read through the criterias and I have the following as my documentation so far
LORS from the following:
- CTO of my current company a digital technical company where I have worked more than a year now
- Co-founder of another company where the referee and I had worked in a sister company
- Mentor who is Head of Technology from a digital company from Canada but worked in a previous employment as a Senior Engineer
MC:
Evidence of leading contribution to an online innovative challenge system built onto an innovators platform which has been used to host major national and regional technical hackathon events since its launch within the last 4 years. There are news clippings and references to multiple events hosted by the system. Evidences I am compiling towards this are:
- Code contributions
- News clippings and references to hackathon events hosted on the system.
- Supporting document from the CTO of the company where I had worked on this system.
OC2:
- Evidence of mentorship and feedback from a few of my meentees
- Evidence of continued contribution to code discussions on Stack Overflow
OC3:
- Evidence of contributing to a leading digital product available by API with intelligent quoting algorithms. Supporting documents from a senior manager at current company also detailing the impact it has made on the company.
- Evidence of leading development as the first engineer on another product from a previous company which was able to successfully onboard more than a thousand employees on the system and process more than $2 million in transaction in its first year of launch.
- Salary progression above the average salary in the UK.
I would appreciate all feedbacks and input on this and I look forward to all your contributions. Thank you.
Hi Olumuwiya!
Your selection of referees appears strong and diverse, with a good mix of senior technical leaders from different organizations. Everyone seems to be senior in their roles.
Your MC is compelling. Including multiple forms of evidence (code, news clippings, references) is perfect. And it’s important that the activities have been sustained over an year.
Mentorship and Stack Overflow contributions are perfectly aligned for OC2/OC3. The successful launch of a financial product with clear metrics ($2M transactions) demonstrates business impact, but what evidences are you presenting here?
Remember to right proof of all evidences you’re presenting, including any business metric improvements.
While you mention salary progression, ensure you:
- Convert all amounts to GBP
- Compare against UK median salaries. Use Glassdoor screenshots here.
Additionally, have you:
- Published technical articles or blog posts to prominent websites?
- Mentored in a structured system, eg, a cohort-based course?
Your choice of exceptional promise appears appropriate based on your experience level. Focus on organizing and presenting your evidence clearly, and ensure each piece directly addresses the criteria requirements.

Hello @Akash_Joshi,
Thank you very much for your response and taking the time to outline the strength of the compilation.
As for the metrics, I intend to use screenshots of graph showing increase in number of conversions from using the product which is double what it was before the launch. Also, reiterating the increase in revenue and its exact figure from the product as well as projections as have been specified in the supporting letter by a senior manager privy to these figures.
As for the UK median salaries, yes it is in pounds as I am resident here in the UK.
Sadly, I do not have published articles except one on medium which I am unsure of its suitability to the criteria. But yes, I have mentored in a cohort based course.

Excellent, I would use that in the mentoring section. Let me know if you have other Qs
