Hi, one of the person who is willing to write a recommendation letter for me has unfortunatly just resigned from my company and going on long medical leave. Is it still okay to get the letter from a personal email ID?
Yes but it needs to be on letterhead

Ideally, a letter of recommendation (LOR) should be issued on company letterhead. However, if that’s not feasible, you can still obtain a valid letter by using digital signature services such as Adobe Sign or DocuSign. When submitting the LOR, you’ll be prompted to provide the individual’s email address, physical address, contact number, and LinkedIn profile link. If their LinkedIn profile is inactive or lacks sufficient information, it may be challenging to verify the letter as industry expert from the reviewer.
