Help review my Exceptional Promise Application

Hi everyone, I would like to apply for the UK Global Talent Visa under Exceptional Promise (digital technology). This forum has been extremely helpful and I would love some feedback on all the evidence I am putting together for my application. Thanks in advance!

Letter of Recommendation:

  1. CTO/Founder from my previous job (Company A)
  2. Director of Engineering from the previous job (Company A)
  3. Founding Engineer at my current job (Company B)

My current job (Company B) is at a small early stage startup with no hierarchy as such. What is a better evidence in this case a letter from founding engineer whom I have worked with a tad bit less than a year (11 months + some days) or someone with same designation (more experienced than me) but has worked with me over a year?

MC:

  1. High Salary - Almost 4x the average industry pay + esops
  2. Led the development team of a digital product at my previous job (Company A)
    a. Github Contributions and Jira Statistics
    b. Reference letter from CEO of the company describing my work and how I led the entire development of the product with the help of the team

Note: will try to add business impact if possible we built a fintech product which had transactions roughly in millions. One question here is, this was at a small services company which helps build technical digital products for clients.
The tech nation guide says “Please note that ‘leading industry experts’ excludes roles listed as unsuitable in the Typical Applicants section of the guidance (for example, managers at Outsourcing or Consultancy firms etc.)”
My designation was Software Engineer and all my contributions were technical at this firm will that be considered for MC?

OC1 (innovation)

  1. An innovative product I helped built in Company B - explanation on why it is innovative and pain points with current offerings. Evidence: screenshots of slack messages about customer contracts with prices per year, customer reviews screenshots
  2. Our 2nd product offering in Company B - explanation on why it is innovative and pain points with current offerings. Evidence: screenshots of slack messages about customer contracts with prices per year, customer reviews screenshots
  3. Supporting Evidence: screenshot of customers talking about moving away from our competitors and being happy to use our offerings

OC3 (significant technical contributions - Company B)

  1. Github contributions graph and my work tickets from notion
  2. Messages from slack appreciating our contributions
  3. Can also add another supporting Reference Letter from colleague describing my work and contributions

If you worked at an outsourcing consultancy then it may not qualify.

You should have atleast one more evidence in MC. High salary proof is a weaker evidence to clear MC, usually strong applications have 4 evidences for MC.

OC1: you need to ensure you show your personal significant contribution to this innovation and quantified impact of it. Proof of product in market, news articles, customer testimonials mentioning your name, revenue traction are strong inputs to have in this.

OC2 is about contribution to advancement of the sector outside of your job and the evidences you mentioned don’t quality for this criteria
