Hi everyone, I would like to apply for the UK Global Talent Visa under Exceptional Promise (digital technology). This forum has been extremely helpful and I would love some feedback on all the evidence I am putting together for my application. Thanks in advance!
Letter of Recommendation:
- CTO/Founder from my previous job (Company A)
- Director of Engineering from the previous job (Company A)
- Founding Engineer at my current job (Company B)
My current job (Company B) is at a small early stage startup with no hierarchy as such. What is a better evidence in this case a letter from founding engineer whom I have worked with a tad bit less than a year (11 months + some days) or someone with same designation (more experienced than me) but has worked with me over a year?
MC:
- High Salary - Almost 4x the average industry pay + esops
- Led the development team of a digital product at my previous job (Company A)
a. Github Contributions and Jira Statistics
b. Reference letter from CEO of the company describing my work and how I led the entire development of the product with the help of the team
Note: will try to add business impact if possible we built a fintech product which had transactions roughly in millions. One question here is, this was at a small services company which helps build technical digital products for clients.
The tech nation guide says “Please note that ‘leading industry experts’ excludes roles listed as unsuitable in the Typical Applicants section of the guidance (for example, managers at Outsourcing or Consultancy firms etc.)”
My designation was Software Engineer and all my contributions were technical at this firm will that be considered for MC?
