GTV Business Applicant ( Does it fit for it?)

Dear all,
I have worked on the GTV business application process before, but now I see that I do not feel that I am eligible for GTV. I will need your feedback on my experience and possible evidence.

  1. I am an industrial engineer, holding an MBA and studying for a PhD in business management. I have 23 years of experience; for the last 4 years, I have been working as a project principal in a digital tech company. I am leading the projects funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Turkey to develop software. Our company is also accepted to a start-up program, and we are listed in the top 10 and will be presenting it to the investors in a prestigious organization.next week.
  2. I am the one who is executing the project as an employee, and I am not the one who is going to present the project on the stage; the owner of the company will do it.
  3. None of the products of the projects have been commercialized till now. They have been supported and funded, and we are searching for the investment.
  4. The whole business process (such as preparing the pitch deck) of the start-up program that we have been selected for is executed by me.
As of now, there are no sales, revenue, or customer growth… only 4 digital products’ project management and a start-up program preparation and listing on the top 10 projects. Should I accept that I cannot be a business app in the dig-tech sector.?
    Thanks for your feedback.

Hi @Zehra_Yetiskin

Believing in yourself is the first step that you should have. Secondly, review the tech nation guide? Better to overcome your doubts by listing evidences for Mandatory criteria, Pick the most suitable optional criteria that matches your experience (2 out 4), then list potential evidences of these.

Listing the potential evidences and selecting the closest optional criteria to your experience will give you better understanding of your situation.

You can share your list of evidences in here, so member of this forum will be able to provide feedback.

There is always a risk of your application outcome, as none works for tech nation and can speak on behalf of their reviewers. However, overcoming your doubts, and taking the right steps towards it, by reading the guide and preparing your application, will enhance your confidence level of whether you go for it or not.

Best of luck!

Dear Maya,Thanks for your supportive message. Sure, it is the first step to believe in ourselves, but all the criteria and evidence required for a business applicant can be obtained once the products are commercialized. If there is someone who is a business applicant and worked in a tech company that is not at the stage of commercialization, I would be happy to hear from her/him. As a business applicant, working for a startup does not make sense. That’s why I thought that would not be possible. Can you tell me any evidence for a business applicant for a startup that is not commercialized yet?
