I currently work as a frontend engineer with MTN (Africa’s largest telcom company transition into a tech company) and I’ve been there for 2 and half years now. I was poached from another software development start-up where I’ve worked for close to 1 year+.

My LORs

  • LOR from the CIO of MTN.
  • LOR from GM of Engineering in MTN.
  • LOR from the CEO of the start-up

Mandatory Criteria

  • Leadership and Innovation on the newly improved customer acquisition system creating a local communication between a PWA and a native app being the major contributor - The system having gained over 15million transactions since deployment and saving the company over $500,000 per quater *.

  • Career progression promoted to a senior frontend engineer within 12 months at the company and High remuneration compared to an average Frontend Engineer in Nigeria.

OC1 - Innovation as an employee for a company

  • Innovation in the communication of a PWA and a native app and the importance in MTN customer acquisition system

  • Innovation in loading a web assembly module into an active web liveliness photo capture system and the code base to back it up

  • A recommendation stating my impact in both innovation from a senior third-party representative of another global company we collaborated with to get the solutions

OC5 - Early stage of career

  • My Certificate showing my recent Bachelor degree holder just from 2023

  • My CV

  • Career progression from working as a student to present

Check for examples of evidence that can serve as Mandatory criteria.

Then for your optional criteria, you need to pick 2 out of the 4 optional criteria available (There is nothing like OC5). The description and what these criteria should answer have been stated in the guideline.

There are only OC1, OC2, OC3 and OC4.

  1. How do I demonstrate that I have a proven track record or examples of innovation in the digital technology sector as a founder or senior executive of a product-led digital technology company or an employee working in a new digital field or concept?
  1. How do I demonstrate that I have been recognised for my work outside of my immediate occupation that contributed to the advancement of the sector?
  1. How do I demonstrate that I have made a significant technical, commercial or entrepreneurial contributions to the field as a founder, senior executive, board member or employee of a product-led digital technology company**?**
  1. How do I demonstrate that I have exceptional ability in the field by making academic contributions through research?

I was actually going for the exceptional promise and i saw “Be at early stage of carrer” as an additional optional criteria and separate criteria

Although I’ve been going through the link day and night but I guess I’ll restructure my documents in the reply below and seek further guidance

Be at an early stage of career means that you have experience of 5 years or less working in the digital technology space

so you’re saying it’s not an independent optional criteria and I have to get 2 more separate optional criteria

My LORs

  • LOR from the CIO of Company A.
  • LOR from GM of Engineering in Company A.
  • LOR from the CEO of the Company B.

Mandatory Criteria

You led the growth of a product-led digital technology product - Led to frontend team in development of customer acquisition system that has had over 20m registrations in 12 months of development. showing over 6 million+ lines of changes made in the repo and a refrence letter from a senior manager stating my impact in the team.

You command a high salary or other remuneration for your services- Showing my employment letter and comparison using glassdoor and other salary comparison tools to show how I earn more than 8 times average frontend developer in the country
“although the values are quite small when compared to pounds do I don’t know whether that would invalidate it”

Career Progression- Showing how I was poached and how I’ve been promoted to a Senior within a year with Increment in salary and another increment in salary 12 months later in the same company.

OC1 - Innovation as an employee for a company

  • Implemented a communication system between a PWA app and a Native mobile app using websocket

  • Implemented a live capture system to capture live image and provide users instructions

  • A recommendation stating my impact in both innovation from a senior third-party representative of another global company we collaborated with to get the solutions.

OC3 - I have made a significant technical, commercial or entrepreneurial contributions to the field as an employee of product-led Organisation

  • Sole frontend of a customer verification and matching website resulting in company A keeping over 9million customers. with details of impact of the solution in the market.
  • A recommendation from a senior manager stating my impact and the solution’s impact on the organisation
