Enquiry On Eligiblity

Going through the TechNation website and the Global talent guide for Promising Talent. I’m thinking of taking my chances with this but I’m just not sure if what I have may prove a case for me

I have Banking experience with an Application Management role, but recently moved to a Fintech - Flutterwave. Most of the evidence I may present will come from the Banks I have worked with. Does this suffice for the Tech-Led product category.

Also, I could only come out with 5 evidences, are there any ideas you can recommend as some sort of an evidence. Still thinking of more tho (especially with those I can get evidence for)

a. A CIO innovation award

b. Recommended letter from HR on completion of an application project

c. My final year project 2014 on Data Analysis, which was published (Don’t know if this works)

d. Being a Data Analyst Tutor for Start-up TechEdu

e. Offer letter from my present place of work.

f. Was part of the project team who designed and developed Nigeria’s first Digital USSD loan application. The challenge here is that I don’t have any letter from my HR for this but there are links which didn’t mention my name or the project members rather the big guns in the projects. However, I could get one of the persons who will write my recommendation speak to this in his own recommendation letter. My worry now is how do I make this an evidence?

I dont know about your eligibility. However, Recommendation letter from HR? Letters must be prepared by leaders in the sector.

You may need to reconsider your recommenders.

Best of Luck

Thanks Maya,

The recommendation letter I referred here was one I want to use as evidence. Either as Mandatory or the optional criteria, so I needed help as to if they actually do stand a chance to be one

As regards the LoR I have

  1. CTO of a Bank
  2. CIO of Bank
  3. MD of a digital service company

avoid anyone not in the digital sector in reference letter or recommendation, End of the day you will need to support your evidences as much as you can. Better to have your refenerce letters prepared by someone in the field too.
