Hi Efezino,
To give you the most accurate answer, I need to clarify one important point first: are you referring to your Stage 1 (Tech Nation endorsement) or Stage 2 (visa application) documents?
This matters because the process has changed. Since August 2025 , Tech Nation no longer has a separate upload portal. If you’ve started the Stage 1 (endorsement) application on the Home Office website, here’s what happens:
- After you complete the online form and pay the fee, the Home Office will give you instructions on how to submit your endorsement evidence.
- That evidence is then automatically forwarded to Tech Nation for assessment – you don’t need to upload anything to a separate Tech Nation system anymore.
If instead you meant the Stage 2 (visa) application , that’s a completely different process (usually done through the UKVI visa application portal or the VFS Global website).
To help you figure out which one you’re on:
- Stage 1 is about proving you’re a “digital technology expert” – you’ll need your CV, recommendation letters, evidence of your work, etc.
- Stage 2 is the actual visa application, where you upload your passport, financial documents, English language proof, and your endorsement letter (if you’ve already received it).
So my main question back to you is: Have you already received your endorsement from Tech Nation, or are you still applying for it?
Once you let me know, I can point you to the exact link you need.
Hello,
I am aware the application needs to go through the gov.uk platform.
Thank you for your response. I was trying to apply for the endorsement. I entered all my details. I saw an option of how many year leave, I selected five, then the stage 3 of document upload was to confirm if I will be wiling to upload my document then I was directed to the payment page that displayed IhS fee instead of the endorsement fee. That got me confused because I understand as you have stated that stage one is to pay for the endorsement first!
So I do not how to go from here again
Hi @Efezino_Omorobe
Yes, that sounds like Stage 2. You need to apply for endorsement first, which can be found at this link: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/global-talent-endorsement?_ga=2.172158435.138531231.1594031774-1490588999.1578480944
I would strongly suggest bookmarking, but just so you’re aware, I think you were in the right place, just clicked the wrong link.
- Apply for the Global Talent visa : Overview - GOV.UK
- Scroll less than halfway down the page and you’ll see “Apply for Endorsement” - click on digital technology
- That brings you to a new page. The fourth bullet down under the Contents section of that page should now say “Apply for Endorsement” - click on this
- The first full sentence on that page provides a link that reads “apply for endorsement on GOV.UK” - click this
- Scroll to the bottom of that page and you’ll see a green button that says “Apply Now” - click this and it opens up the Stage 1 application
Before you click apply, make sure your personal statement is ready to be typed into the comment box they provide in the application. You can always save your application and return later. Once you’ve applied and paid the fee for Stage 1, you have 14 days to email the remainder of your documents - there will be a checklist that explains everything you need to send once you’ve paid the Stage 1 fee.

Wow, thank you so much @Meghan_E
The personal statement is the required one of us to submit right? As stated in the criteria!
Yes, the comment box in the Stage 1 application is where you submit your personal statement. I’d strongly suggest making sure you spell check and adjust in a document first before copy/pasting it in. There’s a strict 7,000 character cap in the box, and you’ll need to use some of those characters for spacing between paragraphs.
