I have a question regarding outsourcing and eligibility for the Global Talent Visa application.
I previously worked in my home country as a Technical Lead at a global IT service delivery company (ABC), where I worked on client projects. Later, I was transferred to the UK to work onsite for ABC’s UK client (XYZ Fintech Company). Currently, I am working for XYZ through ABC’s contract, but my Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) and visa were issued by ABC, and I receive my salary from ABC.
I would appreciate your insights on the following:
- Can I use evidence from my work for ABC’s clients while I was offshore (home country)?
- Example: I worked on a Spain-based project remotely while at ABC. Would this count towards Mandatory or Optional Criteria?
- Can I use my current work for XYZ in the UK as evidence, even though my COS and salary are through ABC? I am doing highly technical development stuff in this company.
- Will this be considered as outsourcing or consultancy, making it ineligible under Tech Nation guidelines?
