I hope this message finds you well. Could you please assess my evidence for the Exceptional Promise in Digital and Performance Marketing (Online News Media) application?

Letter of Recommendation:

A recommendation letter from the Head of a Digital Media Company in Nigeria.

A recommendation letter from the Founder of a Digital Media Communication Company in London, United Kingdom.

A recommendation letter from a former Senior VP of Marketing and Growth at a startup company in Nigeria.

List of Criterias

  1. Head of Digital for an online news media company based in Sierra Leone.
    Evidence: A screenshot of Google Analytics from the past year showing a growth of 5 million page views, news clippings attesting to the company’s growth for two anniversaries, screenshots of social media followings signifying growth, a news clip announcing my contribution to the company, a letter of recommendation from the CEO, and a letter of endorsement from the Head of Business.

  2. Worked as a Senior Digital Marketing Executive with an Atlanta-based startup company in Nigeria on a mobile application crime reporting system.
    Evidence: Screenshots of total downloads and how it became the number one lifestyle app in Nigeria on the Google Play Store, stats from the Facebook dashboard, news clippings of the product’s existence, an employment contract letter, payslips for the first and last six months, and a news clip of an opinion article on the product’s existence and benefits in solving crime with my name mentioned.

  3. Head of Digital Marketing for a communication company that is a publisher of the online news media company I worked with.
    Evidence: An employment letter, payslips, a screenshot of over a million page views from Google Analytics, a reference letter from the CEO and Publisher, and an endorsement letter from HR.

  4. Publication of my work on two media platforms in Nigeria.
    Examples: 1. openED - Attesting to the fact of how I virtually trained students of the Mass Communication department of a university on WhatsApp platforms on digital marketing fundamentals. I will back it up with a letter of invitation as a facilitator, a letter of appreciation, a news clip on the school association website introducing the program, and a letter of reference from the president of the association confirming how the program helped the student’s exposure to digital marketing during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

  5. Salary - Employment contracts of my salary from evidence 1 and 2 stating the growth in the industry, using data from PayScale as a reference.

  6. Mentorship program: A news clip on the mentorship program and a letter of reference from one of the participants, showing how the program helped shape their career.

Note: For evidence 5, I have chosen to use my salary from evidence 2 and 3 as an example to showcase my value and growth in the industry. As for evidence 6, I am not sure if it is relevant. How do you suggest I integrate it?

Sorry, that’s a mistake from me. I have edited it to OC 3. Not selecting OC 4 since I’m not a researcher.

Is there anything to point out from the MC to the 2 OCs?

I think your evidence are not sufficient.

OC 2 : #3. How does employment contract show proof of work outside your immediate employment that contributes to the growth of the sector. You clearly don’t meet this requirement.

OC 3 : #2 Do you have evidence of a reference letter from your employer detailing your impact?
MC: The evidence is neither here nor there, i don’t understand what you mean by Oped in evidence 4. Do you mean news clipping.

Letter of Recommendation:

Mandatory criteria:

  1. Growth of 20 million page views for an online news media company in Sierra Leone in 14 months, as shown in screenshots of Google Analytics from the past year. Endorsement: A letter of recommendation from the CEO of the online news media company in Sierra Leone stating the metrics and increase in revenue.
    Job title: Head of Digital

  2. Successful launch and growth of a mobile application crime reporting system in Nigeria in partnership with the Nigeria police. Evidence includes screenshots of total downloads and stats from the Facebook dashboard, as well as a news clip mentioning my name in one of the press releases. Endorsement: A letter of reference of how my work contributes to the total downloads and brand partnership with Microsoft and Huawei.
    Job title: Senior Digital Marketing Excutive.

  3. Growth of over a million page views for a news media company in Nigeria shown in a screenshot of Google Analytics. Also, Adsense revenue growth, and a letter of endorsement from the CEO showing my contribution to how my work led to a brand partnership with two major banks.
    Job title: Head of digital

  4. Publication of my work on two media platforms in Nigeria over the years, such as two digital marketing-related articles and including a program that virtually trained Mass Communication students on digital marketing fundamentals on WhatsApp during the Covid-19 pandemic. This will be supported by a letter of invitation as a facilitator, a letter of appreciation, and a letter of reference from the president of the school association, newsclip about the training.

  5. Salary: Evidence of earning potential that is significantly above the average in the field. i will be using Numbers 2 and 3.
    I will also includes employment contracts that demonstrate salary growth in the digital media industry in Nigeria. Additional references to PayScale data will be included to further support my earning potential.

N:B: Number 1, 2, 3 will be supported by employment contracts.

Optional criteria 1:

My experience as Head of Digital for an online news media company in Sierra Leone, and also my work as a Senior Digital Marketing Executive with an Atlanta-based startup company in Nigeria on a mobile application crime reporting system will both provide evidence of innovation in the digital technology field. Examples of my contributions to the development of these products, including quantitative screenshot data on downloads, page views, social media following.
I will also provide evidence, such as news clippings in one of the press releases for the Atlanta company mentioning my name, and also news clip on the achievement of the Sierra Leone company mentioning my name. I will also include employment contracts, letters of reference from CEOs of both companies.

Optional criteria 2:

The publication of 4 of my op-ed article on five media platforms in Nigeria mainly digital marketing-related articles. This will be supported by the news clip links. The virtually training of Mass Communication students on digital marketing fundamentals on WhatsApp during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. This will be supported by a letter of invitation as a facilitator, a letter of appreciation, and a letter of reference from the president of the school association, and also a news clip.
Also, my contribution as a Digital Marketing volunteer experience with a credit union company in Aberdeen, Scotland. Evidence will include some email conversations detailing some of my work, marketing and content fliers that were created, and a letter of reference from the CEO.
