Hi, my question is for my recommendation letter candidates. Two of them are tech investors, and they are recognized in Forbes and WSJ. Are they considered as leaders in the tech space? The fact that them being the “investors” in the space but not the tech people who do the work makes me wonder whether they meet the recommendation letter author criteria. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I would say so, to an extent if they are aware of your work.
The rule of thumb is: Are they senior experts in their field? Do they know your work? Can they talk explicitly about your expertise and contribution in the digital sector based on their knowledge of your work?
Have they known you for at least a year and within the past 5 years?
