I am planning to apply for ILR in November 2025. I moved to the UK with my spouse and my two daughters, who are now 8-9 years old. I have some uncertainties before my ILR application:
Q1 - I understand that my spouse needs to complete 5 years before applying for ILR. However, after I obtain ILR, technically my GT visa is changing to settled status and will no longer active. Can my spouse still apply for a Global Talent Dependant Extension visa?
Q2 - My daughters are under 18. Some official sources mention that if at least one parent obtains ILR, the children can also apply for ILR. Is this correct?
I would really appreciate it if someone with experience could share their insights. This question has been asked before, but the answers are quite mixed.
